The Centre has made annual e-KYC verification mandatory for all farmers registered under the PM Kisan scheme . Beneficiaries must complete the process before June 30 to continue receiving payments without interruption.
If the e-KYC is not completed within the deadline, the upcoming installment will not be credited to the farmer’s account. Officials say this step is aimed at ensuring that only eligible farmers receive financial assistance.
Why This Step Has Been Introduced
According to government officials, there have been cases where ineligible names were mistakenly included in the beneficiary list. To improve transparency and accuracy, the system now requires yearly verification through e-KYC.

Two Easy Ways to Complete e-KYC
Farmers can complete verification through two simple methods:
1. Biometric e-KYC at CSC Centres
Farmers can visit any Common Service Centre (Jan Seva Kendra) and complete verification using fingerprint or thumb authentication. Aadhaar card and a mobile number linked with Aadhaar are required.
2. Facial e-KYC via Mobile App
Farmers can also complete verification from home using the PM Kisan mobile app. The process uses facial recognition, making it convenient and quick.

So far, the government has released 22 installments under the PM Kisan scheme. In the 22nd installment alone, around ₹18,640 crore was transferred directly to the bank accounts of more than 9 crore farmers.
When Will the 23rd Installment Be Released?
Farmers are now waiting for the 23rd installment. However, there is no official date announced yet. Based on past patterns, the next installment is expected to be released sometime between June and early August.
