While crores of farmers have already benefited from the scheme over the years, several eligible beneficiaries were unable to complete registration earlier due to documentation issues or other administrative reasons. Now, fresh relief has emerged for such farmers as authorities have reopened the registration process for pending applicants.

Fresh Opportunity For Farmers Who Missed Earlier Registration

Officials from the agriculture department have announced that farmers who remained excluded from the scheme despite eligibility may now complete the registration process through the portal’s newly introduced facility.

The move is expected to benefit those farmers who acquired agricultural land before 2019 but could not enrol under the scheme earlier due to procedural or documentation-related complications.

Authorities believe the latest registration drive could help ensure that more deserving beneficiaries receive financial assistance under the central government programme.

PM Kisan Scheme Continues To Support Farmers

The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana was launched to provide direct income support to small and marginal farmers. The assistance is aimed at helping farmers manage agricultural expenses and improve financial stability.

Under the scheme, the government transfers ₹2,000 every four months directly into beneficiaries’ bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer. So far, 22 instalments have already been released under the programme.

With the next instalment awaited by beneficiaries, the reopening of registration has brought fresh hope to many farmers who were previously left out.

Verification Process Started For Pending Cases

Along with the fresh registration facility, officials have also introduced a special verification and data correction process for beneficiaries whose instalments were stopped because of technical or record-related issues.

According to the agriculture department, several pending cases are now being reviewed to resolve discrepancies affecting payments.

The verification process will mainly focus on three categories of cases where beneficiary details require correction or clarification.

Cases To Be Reviewed Under The New Process

Authorities have stated that cases involving changes in land ownership, issues related to multiple beneficiaries receiving benefits for the same land, and incomplete ownership details will be examined carefully.

In certain situations, land records may have changed due to reasons other than inheritance, creating mismatches in official documents. Such discrepancies often delay or stop instalment transfers.

Officials are also reviewing cases where both previous and present landowners may have received benefits simultaneously due to outdated records.

Another category includes applications where complete identification details of previous landowners are unavailable or incorrectly recorded in official databases.

Farmers Asked To Update Documents Quickly

Agriculture department officials have advised farmers to verify their land records and complete all necessary documentation without delay to avoid future payment interruptions.

Farmers whose names are still missing from the beneficiary list are being encouraged to use the newly opened registration facility and complete the required formalities at the earliest.

Authorities believe timely verification and record correction will help streamline future instalment transfers and reduce delays in beneficiary payments.

The latest step is expected to provide relief to many eligible farmers who have been waiting for an opportunity to join the scheme or restore their stalled benefits.
