The subsidy structure is linked to the size of the solar system:

1-2 kW systems: Subsidy ranging from ₹30,000 to ₹60,000
2-3 kW systems: Subsidy ranging from ₹60,000 to ₹78,000
3 kW and above: Maximum subsidy of ₹78,000

The subsidy amount is transferred directly to the beneficiary's bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), ensuring a transparent process.

Easy Financing Options

For households concerned about upfront costs, the scheme also supports collateral-free loans through participating public sector banks.

Loans of up to ₹2 lakh are available at concessional rates, making it easier for families to invest in rooftop solar without a heavy financial burden.

Before installing a rooftop solar system, applicants should keep a few key factors in mind:

Use solar panels listed under the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM)
Choose only registered and approved vendors
Ensure sufficient rooftop space is available
Complete all DISCOM approvals and documentation properly
Residents of Group Housing Societies and RWAs should check eligibility for common-area benefits

Who Can Avail the Benefits?

The scheme is intended for homeowners with a valid electricity connection. Since rooftop installation requires ownership or authorization over the property, tenants generally cannot apply independently.
