Bangladesh Border Guard returned Ranjit Das

Das was handed back to Indian authorities by the Bangladesh Border Guard around 10pm the same day.
Cachar's police chief, Sanjib Kumar Saikia, explained that since Bangladeshi nationals were involved but it happened on Indian soil, the necessary action will have to be taken by their authorities.
The whole episode highlights how everyday life at the border can get complicated, and why cooperation really matters.
