Monsoon Likely to Reach Delhi-NCR by June-End, Heavy Rain Alert for Southern States
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that the southwest monsoon is likely to reach Delhi and the wider National Capital Region( NCR) between June 25 and June 30.
There have been thunderstorms and scattered rainfall across Delhi-NCR that has brought temporary relief from the heat to the locals. The southwest monsoon has already made its onset over Kerala on June 4 which is three days after normal. However, meteorologists have stated that they expect it to advance steadily and cover most parts of India by the third week of June.

There has been a low pressure area over Karnataka and adjoining Andhra Pradesh area which is expected to trigger widespread rain across areas of Tamil Nadu on Monday, June 8 according to the Regional Meteorological Department.Next Story
