An 82-year-old man, who went to withdraw his pension, was shocked to see a balance of approximately ₹759 crore in his bank account. This bizarre incident happened to Kameshwar Mishra, a resident of Thatiya Siho village in the Sakra block.

Kameshwar, a poet by profession and a beneficiary of the social security pension scheme, visited a Common Service Center (CSC) on Sunday to withdraw his pension. There, he discovered a balance of ₹759,69,51,951—amounting to roughly ₹759 crore. The matter came to light when he decided to check the balance after withdrawing the pension amount. His differently-abled son was with him at the time. The surprise deepened when a check of his son’s account revealed an equally massive balance. Together, the two accounts held a total of more than ₹1,500 crore.
