Aamir Khan reveals wife Gauri Spratt is Christian, not Hindu amid fatwa and allegations of Love Jihad: 'Both my sisters married a Hindu, we are an inclusive family'
Aamir Khan's third marriage with Gauri Spratt created a huge stir and a fatwa was issued against the actor, opposing his marriage on religious grounds. The actor was also accused of Love Jihad and amidst these allegations, Aamir has now spoken up on the matter. He revealed that neither his ex-wives Reena Dutta, Kiran Rao , nor did Gauri Spratt convert to Islam.

He said in an interview with Deccan Chronicle, “Gauri, Reena and Kiran did not change their religions when they married me, as we had civil marriages," he said. “Gauri is not a Hindu, she is Christian, and not even a practising Christian at that."
Emphasising the diversity within his family, said in the same interview, “Well, the truth is that ours is a very inclusive family." He added, “Both my sisters are married to Hindus, and my daughter too is married to a Hindu. My cousin Mansoor is married to a Christian."
For those not in the know, as reported by ANI, Maulana Ibrahim Hussain said Aamir's marriage to Gauri is impermissible under his interpretation of Islamic law, maintaining that a Muslim man cannot marry a non-Muslim woman unless she embraces Islam. In a video that has surfaced online, he said, “Muslim mard ke liye, iman walon ke liye, gair muslim se shaadi karna haraam hai."
