PTC Web Desk: Bollywood actor Aamir Khan is reportedly all set to begin a new chapter in his personal life. The 61-year-old superstar is expected to marry his longtime partner Gauri Spratt in a private ceremony scheduled for July 5 at his Mumbai residence.

According to sources close to the actor, the couple recently decided to make their relationship official and opted for a simple registered marriage instead of a grand celebration.

The ceremony is expected to be attended only by family members and a select group of close friends.

Those familiar with the plans say Aamir and Gauri wanted the occasion to remain personal and meaningful. Preparations for the wedding are already underway, with the couple choosing to keep the gathering small and intimate.

While the guest list has not been disclosed, there is speculation that some of Aamir's closest friends from the film industry, including Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, may attend if their schedules permit.

Gauri Spratt, who has earlier worked with Aamir Khan Productions, is the mother of a seven-year-old son named Quinn from her earlier marriage. She is also the granddaughter of Philip Spratt, a British-born activist who became associated with India's freedom movement after arriving in the country in the 1920s.

The couple has reportedly received the blessings and support of their families as they prepare for the wedding.

Aamir was first married to Reena Dutta, with whom he has two children, Junaid and Ira.

He later married filmmaker Kiran Rao, and the two share a son, Azad. Aamir and Kiran announced their separation in 2021 but have continued to maintain an amicable relationship.

The actor publicly introduced Gauri to the media during a pre-birthday interaction in Mumbai last year. At the time, he revealed that they had been together for more than a year. Speaking about marriage, he had said that while they were deeply committed to each other, he was unsure whether marriage at his age made sense.

On the professional front, Aamir was last seen in "Sitaare Zameen Par" and is currently working on a biopic based on cricket legend Lala Amarnath, along with an upcoming project directed by Rajkumar Hirani.
