Kochi: Ratnamma (69), one half of the popular ‘Acha Mass’ couple who won the hearts of millions through their adorable social media videos, has passed away.

She breathed her last on Monday (June 1) following a heart attack. Ratnamma was the wife of Tulasidharan, a resident of Rajeev Bhavan in Kalayanad, Punalur. The couple had gained immense popularity on social media, and their videos filled with love, humour, and warmth were cherished by people of all age groups.

‘Acha Mass’ created by their grandchildren

The couple’s simple and joyful moments from their life in Rajeev Bhavan, Kalayanad, Punalur, were captured and shared with the world by their grandsons, Amal Raj and Akhil Raj. The duo managed the Instagram profile called ‘Acha Mass’, which currently has more than 800,000 followers.

Ratnamma, who remained active and energetic on social media despite her age, had become a beloved figure among followers. Her sudden demise has left fans deeply saddened. Her funeral was held at 11.30 am on June 1 at her residence.

A trending and beloved couple

The couple became famous for bringing smiles to people’s faces through songs, dance, and humorous videos that reflected the joys of life in old age. They entertained audiences by appearing in different makeovers and creating reels inspired by the latest social media trends.

Over the past few months, the couple had stayed away from making reels due to health issues. Their last video was posted in March this year. During this period, Tulasidharan had suffered a stroke. Ratnamma’s health had also been fluctuating after she underwent an angioplasty a year ago, their grandson had recently revealed.
