Amazon spring sale shoppers race to buy ionic hairdryer and straightener bundle

Amazon's Spring Deal Days sale is well underway, and one standout deal is selling fast with hair and beauty buffs. For a limited time, the Remington Ionic Hair Dryer with Keratin and Almond Oil can be picked up in a discounted bundle with the brand's Intelligent Ceramic Straighteners for £64.94 - 66% off its RRP of £189.98.

According to Amazon, the dryer has an advanced ceramic-coated grille infused with keratin and almond oil for healthy-looking, smooth blow-dry results, features ionic conditioning with 90 percent more ions for frizz-free shine versus the standard Remington hair dryer, and a powerful 2,200W long-life AC motor - with three heat settings and two speed settings, plus cold shot to set hair styles. It also includes two concentrators (super slim and fast-drying), as well as a diffuser to dry curls.

Meanwhile, the straighteners feature a digital temperature display with five settings 160-230 Celsius, fast 15-second heat-up time and an auto safety shut off. According to Remington, a patented intelligent heat protection sensor continuously measures hair's moisture levels and the straightener adapts to the optimum temperature for the hair, giving three times more protection from damage vs straightening with the intelligent heat protection sensor turned off.

Enhanced ceramic-coated plates infused with keratin and almond oil transfer micro-conditioners during styling for smooth, shiny, healthy-looking hair. The straighteners also feature a floating plate for even pressure on the hair, a plate lock for storage and a luxury storage pouch with heat-resistant lining.

Amazon isn't the only retailer offering huge discounts this week - Boots currently has this TRESemme Keratin Smooth and Styler Straightener on offer for half price - £40 down from £80 - as part of its Spring Season Savings sale event.

The TRESemme model offers similar features to the Remington - complete with floating plates to optimise glide and pressure during styling, and curved contours to get close to the roots. The Boots deal also includes a wraparound heat mat and a full-sized Keratin Smooth Heat Protect spray.

Meanwhile, Dyson has slashed £120 off its Corrale straightener as part of its Dyson Week sale, bringing the price down from £399.99 to £279.99. The Corrale features flexing copper plates that shape to gather hair for extra control, promising enhanced styling with less heat - and half the damage.

The Remington bundle gets a solid 4.7 out of 5 stars on Amazon. One five-star reviewer wrote: "My previous appliances were so old. I was hesitant on new straighteners as I am quite fussy with them and wanted ones much like my previous ones. But I was not disappointed with this set. The hairdryer is powerful, the straighteners are amazing. I love that they beep when they have reached the temperature. Would recommend."

One buyer did suggest the straighteners were not as good as their old GHDs, writing: "Gets hot but nowhere near as good as my GHD straighteners.

If you have fine hair, they're okay, but not if you have thick hair."

However, another buyer wrote: "I bought the set of hair dryer and straighteners as I needed something for both me and my daughter. We have different hair types, and they both work really well on her hair. She has mixed hair, and the straighteners do really well with the thickness and tight curls she has - I even tried curling it, and it turned out beautifully, keeps your hair so soft and lasts way longer than others I've tried.
