Ashwath Marimuthu takes charge of 'Thalaivar 173'; Rajinikanth's much-awaited film begins production
After many discussions and revisions behind the scenes, the highly anticipated ' Thalaivar 173 ' film is finally beginning production. It is a joint production involving Kamal Haasan and starring Rajinikanth that has been among the most discussed movies in the Tamil movie industry . Since its announcement, fans have eagerly awaited news about the project. Now, filming has officially started in Chennai.
Multiple director changes delayed the film’s launchHowever, the path for 'Thalaivar 173' has been uneven. To start with, Sundar C , the director, was supposed to direct this movie. However, he later stepped away from the project. Following his exit, director Cibi Chakaravarthi came on board and even expressed confidence about delivering a film that would satisfy fans. Yet, he too reportedly moved away from the project after creative discussions. Due to such unforeseen happenings, it took many months before anything concrete materialized.
