  • Many fitness-conscious people are big on portion control , so you don’t have to think of biryani as an all-or-nothing meal. They might like a smaller portion, eat it slowly to identify the feelings of fullness and not go for multiple helpings. This way they can satisfy cravings without consuming too many calories.
  • Another smart strategy can be when you are having rich biryani in the lunch, your breakfast and dinner can be lighter.
  • You can even incorporate biryani with a lot of veggies, chicken that will be a good source of carbs and proteins. This will help in maintaining an overall balanced diet rather than letting one indulgent meal define the day.
  • In many cultures there is the practice of having biryani with raita. Raita is made of curd which is a rich source of probiotics. So pairing the two will automatically transform the dish into a healthier one. Having a nice green salad alongside contributes fibre that may promote satiety.
  • Skipping sugary drinks alongside the meal are other simple ways to make the experience more balanced.
