Charan to undergo surgery for wrist injury sustained during Peddi shoot
Actor Ram Charan is set to undergo wrist surgery on Monday at a hospital in Coimbatore to address a severe injury reportedly sustained in March during the shoot of his sports drama, Peddi . The actor was spotted at the airport heading to the city on Sunday. He was accompanied by his parents, Chiranjeevi and Surekha Konidela, and wife Upasana Konidela .
The actor previously acknowledged the injury during the film’s promotions in May. “I have a cartilage tear. But it’s fine. It is worth it,” he had said.

According to his team, Charan sustained the injury while grappling with professional wrestlers for authenticity on set, resulting in an initial tear. “To avoid disrupting his mindset during the crucial schedule, he opted against an immediate MRI and pushed through the pain to continue filming. Delaying treatment unfortunately aggravated the condition into seven distinct tears,” they add.
