Candidates allotted a seat in the third round can accept their allocated seat between August 8 and August 11. Subsequently, the respective college will verify the students’ applications and documents.
Delhi University (DU) has released the third merit list for undergraduate courses under the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS). Students who have been allotted a seat in a college or course during this round must accept the seat and complete the subsequent admission formalities within the stipulated timeframe. The deadline to accept the seat is August 11, 2026.
Seat Must Be Accepted by August 11
Candidates allotted a seat in the third round can accept their allocated seat between August 8 and August 11. Following this, the respective college will verify the students’ applications and documents. Colleges are required to verify and approve applications by August 12. Once verification is complete, candidates must pay the online admission fee by August 13, 2026; failure to complete the necessary procedures within the deadline could result in the loss of the allocated seat.
Seat Allotment Based on CUET Scores and Preferences
In DU’s third seat allocation process, factors such as CUET merit (specific to the program), category, seat availability, and preferences submitted during the CSAS process have been taken into account. Candidates can log in to the DU portal to check which college and program have been allotted to them. In the event of a tie—where two or more candidates have identical CUET scores—Class 12 marks will be considered first. If the tie persists, age will be used as the deciding factor.
