'Pardhan' is a fresh original series that delves into the dynamics of campus politics, student aspirations, and the quest for leadership within a university setting. The narrative centers around the fierce competition for the position of student union president.

Both actors emphasized that the web series format allows for a more nuanced portrayal of characters. Khera remarked, “The beauty of a web series is that it’s not just about the lead roles. There are around eight significant characters, each with their own unique journey. You gradually connect with each one.”

Khera portrays Roop, a vibrant college student from an affluent family. She describes Roop as cheerful and sociable, noting her transformation from an average student to a politically engaged individual as a compelling character arc.

Sehmbi takes on the role of Rajvir Singh Dhillon, a student entrenched in campus politics for over five years, now vying for the presidency. He shared, “Viewers will witness the hurdles he encounters in the political arena. Rajvir has established a political faction named USFO, and his journey unfolds throughout the series.”

When discussing the show’s core theme, both actors highlighted the importance of unity among the characters. Khera stated, “The series showcases the bond among characters—without unity, it cannot be termed a group.”

Khera revealed that she joined the project after an engaging discussion with the director and writer about her character. “Initially, I had reservations about taking on this role, but their enthusiasm and clear vision for Roop convinced me,” she explained.

She also reminisced about joining the filming process around the ninth or tenth day and how the cast welcomed her warmly. “Everyone was new to me, and their support made me feel at ease. There was no rivalry; everyone was there to help and uplift one another,” she noted.

Reflecting on the lighter moments during the 40-day shoot, Khera mentioned co-star Aatish, who plays Teji, as a particularly lively presence. “Aatish brought a lot of fun and humor to the set,” she said.

Sehmbi added that while they didn’t have much time for pranks, they worked hard and enjoyed each other’s company. “Even on our days off, we would come to the set just to hang out together,” he shared.
