Gippy Grewal recalls firing outside his Canada home: 'I wasn't even close to Salman Khan'
Punjabi singer-actor Gippy Grewal has once again opened up about the shocking firing incident outside his residence in Canada's White Rock neighbourhood, saying he was left completely baffled as he had never received any threats or warning calls before the attack.
During an appearance on Shekhar Suman's chat show Shekhar Tonite, Gippy reflected on the incident and revealed that he initially had no idea why his home had been targeted.
"When the firing happened outside my house, I honestly didn't know why it had happened. I had never received any call. Nobody had threatened me. Later, a post surfaced explaining why they did it," he said.
The incident dates back to November 2023, when gunshots were fired outside Grewal's residence in White Rock, near Vancouver. Following the attack, gangster Lawrence Bishnoi claimed responsibility through a social media post, describing it as a "warning" linked to Gippy's perceived association with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan . No injuries were reported in the incident.
'I wasn't even close to Salman Khan'Addressing the motive cited by the gang, Gippy clarified that he did not share any close personal relationship with Salman Khan.
"The reality is that I had only met Salman sir a few times while promoting films on Bigg Boss and during a trailer launch. We didn't even have a close friendship. But they assumed otherwise, and that led to the incident," he said.
