  • Salt as per taste
  • A pinch of baking soda

How to Make Paneer Pakora

Step 1: Prepare the Batter

In a mixing bowl, add gram flour, rice flour, red chilli powder, turmeric, garam masala, ajwain, salt, and baking soda. Mix well and slowly add water to make a thick and smooth batter without lumps.

Step 2: Prepare the Paneer

Take paneer pieces and lightly sprinkle chaat masala over them. You can also spread green chutney between two paneer slices for extra flavor.

Step 3: Heat the Oil

Heat oil in a deep pan on medium flame. To check if the oil is ready, drop a little batter into the oil. If it rises immediately, the oil is hot enough.

Step 4: Fry the Pakoras

Dip each paneer piece into the batter and coat it evenly. Carefully place them into hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy from all sides.

Step 5: Serve Hot

Remove the pakoras onto a tissue paper to absorb extra oil. Serve hot with mint chutney, tamarind chutney, or ketchup along with masala chai.

Tips for Extra Crispy Paneer Pakoras

  • Add rice flour for a crunchier texture.
  • Do not make the batter too thin.
  • Fry on medium heat for even cooking.
  • Use fresh and soft paneer for the best taste.
  • Sprinkle chaat masala before serving for extra zing.

Why Paneer Pakoras Are Perfect for Monsoon

Paneer pakoras are warm, crispy, and packed with comforting flavors that pair perfectly with rainy weather. The combination of crunchy coating and soft paneer makes them an all-time favorite snack for family evenings, tea-time gatherings, and sudden monsoon cravings.
