How Yog Helps Emotional Healing
If you cut your finger while chopping vegetables, you don't expect the wound to heal instantly. You clean it, protect it, and give it some time. Day by day, your body slowly repairs itself. The wound may not disappear overnight because healing happens when the right conditions are created.
Emotional wounds are also similar. Yet when it comes to emotional pain such as grief, rejection, betrayal, disappointment, anxiety, or loss, we expect ourselves to ‘move on’ quickly. We become impatient with our sadness, frustrated with our fears, and critical of our vulnerability. Instead of giving time for healing, we suppress emotions, distract ourselves, or pretend everything is fine.
