IIT Hyderabad Placements: 100% placement in two departments; students secure packages up to ₹90 lakh
IIT Hyderabad Placements: According to data from IIT Hyderabad, Computer Science and Engineering led the way, with 96 of its students securing jobs. This was followed by Electrical Engineering, where 81 students were selected.
IIT Hyderabad Placements: IIT Hyderabad has released placement statistics for the 2024-25 academic session. During this placement season, students received impressive offers from leading domestic and international companies. The highest package stood at ₹90 lakh per annum, while the average annual package was recorded at ₹22.5 lakh. Notably, two specific programs achieved 100% placement, and PhD students also secured packages of up to ₹81 lakh.
According to IIT Hyderabad, the placement process began on December 1, 2024, and was conducted via both online and offline modes. A total of 320 companies participated in campus recruitment, offering job opportunities to students across various disciplines, including engineering, science, design, and management. Institute data shows that 493 students were selected, receiving a total of 521 job offers. These included 87 pre-placement offers and 43 international offers. The placement rate was recorded at 70.99% at the undergraduate level and 69.74% at the postgraduate level.
Highest placements in Computer Science
In terms of departmental statistics, Computer Science and Engineering topped the list; 96 out of 111 students from this department secured jobs. This was followed by Electrical Engineering, with 81 out of 97 students selected. Additionally, placements were secured by 65 out of 94 students in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, 36 out of 73 in Civil Engineering, 36 out of 45 in Artificial Intelligence, and 32 out of 56 in Chemical Engineering. Meanwhile, students from departments such as Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering, Engineering Science, and Mathematics and Computing also received a significant number of offers.
