Glen Hansard , the Academy Award-winning Irish musician , succumbed to injuries from a motorbike crash on the outskirts of Dublin at the age of 56 on Wednesday, July 29, 2026. The celebrated singer-songwriter was in a single-vehicle crash near Strawberry Beds in the early hours. Emergency services responded to the collision on the R109 Lower Road, between Tinkers Hill and Rugged Lane, at 4:30 am.
