Doubts about cheese
According to initial reports, the children had eaten cheese for dinner, after which their condition began to deteriorate. It is now suspected that the extreme heat, food poisoning, or fake cheese could be the cause. This incident has once again raised concerns about adulterated cheese being sold in the market. In India, cheese is a favorite in almost every household, from children to adults. It is considered a good source of protein and calcium, but health experts say that a large quantity of fake or analog cheese is being sold in the market these days, which can prove to be extremely dangerous for health.
Do some things spoil quickly in the heat?
According to a report by itclabs, products like milk and cheese spoil quickly in the summer. In many places, fake or analog cheese is sold instead of real cheese, which can cause serious health problems. Fake cheese often contains starch, vegetable oil, synthetic milk, detergents, and other chemicals.
How to identify fake paneer at home
If the cheese becomes rubbery or crumbles when placed in hot water, it may be fake. Real cheese feels soft and grainy, while fake cheese feels smooth and plastic-like.
The iodine test is also considered quite effective. If the cheese turns blue or purple when iodine is applied to it, it indicates starch has been added. Authentic cheese has a mild milky aroma, while fake cheese may have an oily or chemical-like smell.
Could there be a problem?
Fake cheese can cause stomach infections, digestive problems, obesity, and liver and kidney problems in children. Long-term consumption can seriously harm children's health. Experts advise caution when purchasing cheese from outside during the summer.
