Limits of Science And Freedom Of Inquiry

Every human being is born into a family, a culture and a religious tradition. During childhood, our understanding of the world is shaped largely by the beliefs, values and practices of our parents and the society in which we grow up. These inherited beliefs provide identity and meaning, but they are rarely the outcome of our own independent inquiry.

As individuals mature, however, they begin to question. The capacity to reason, analyse and reflect gives rise to deeper questions about existence. What is the origin of the universe? Is there an ultimate reality or an Almighty God? If so, what is its nature? If not, why does anything exist at all? Such questions are neither new nor confined to any one religion or culture. They have occupied philosophers, scientists and spiritual teachers throughout human history.
