A total of 500 machines have been set up under this initiative, providing free sanitary napkins to women. The availability of such a facility at busy public places like railway stations is expected to bring relief to lakhs of female passengers. Notably, this service will be available round-the-clock.

These vending machines are equipped with modern technology. They feature an Internet of Things (IoT)-based monitoring system that tracks their operation and stock levels. This ensures that the machines do not run out of sanitary napkins, allowing women immediate access whenever needed. According to officials, approximately 3 crore sanitary napkins have been distributed through these machines so far, demonstrating the initiative's utility.
