Next James Bond: Beatles biopic star new favourite in race to replace Daniel Craig
Earlier this week, Amazon MGM Studios announced that auditions for the next James Bond are finally taking place five years after Daniel Craig exploded out of the franchise. The total reboot is rumoured to focus on a younger 007, much like the upcoming video game First Light, which releases tomorrow.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson (9/1), Jacob Elordi (5/1) and Callum Turner (4/1) have been the bookies' favourites for quite some time. But now there's a new one and he's currently shooting Sam Mendes' four biopic films about The Beatles back-to-back.
According to Oddschecker, Harris Dickinson is now 3/1 and the current bookies' favourite to be cast as the next James Bond. The 29-year-old star of The King's Man, Triangle of Sadness and Babygirl is playing John Lennon in all four official Beatles biopics. Take it all with a pinch of salt, but will the producers really cast someone who's already playing a major historical figure in a couple of years? Post-Barbara Broccoli, it's possible. During her tenure, highly unlikely.
