Meanwhile, for those applying under the 'Tatkal' (expedited) service, the fee will now be ₹5,000, up from the earlier rate of ₹3,500.
**What is the fee for a 60-page passport?**
The fee for a standard 60-page passport (or its re-issuance) has been set at ₹3,500, whereas it previously cost ₹2,000. Additionally, the fee for the 'Tatkal' service in this category has been raised to ₹6,000.
**Increased fees for lost or damaged passports**
If a 36-page passport is lost or damaged, the cost to obtain a new one will be ₹5,000. Similarly, a fee of ₹6,000 will be charged to issue a new passport in place of a lost or damaged 60-page passport.
