Crores of farmers across India are eagerly waiting for the next installment under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. The government is expected to release the 23rd installment of ₹2,000 between June and July 2026, but farmers who fail to complete an important verification process may face delays in receiving the benefit.

The PM-Kisan scheme provides eligible farmers with financial assistance of ₹6,000 every year, distributed in three equal installments directly into bank accounts through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).

When Will the 23rd PM Kisan Installment Be Released?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 22nd installment of the PM-Kisan scheme on March 13, 2026, during an event held in Guwahati, Assam.

Based on previous payment cycles, the next installment is expected around June or July 2026. However, the government has not yet officially announced the exact release date.

Under the scheme, eligible farmers receive ₹2,000 every four months directly into their registered bank accounts.

e-KYC Is Mandatory for Receiving the Next Installment

The government has made it clear that completing e-KYC is compulsory for all PM-Kisan beneficiaries.

Farmers who fail to complete e-KYC may not receive the upcoming ₹2,000 installment. Beneficiaries can complete the process online through the official PM-Kisan portal by verifying their Aadhaar-linked mobile number using OTP authentication.

Three Ways to Complete PM Kisan e-KYC

Farmers can complete e-KYC using any of the following methods:

1. OTP-Based e-KYC

Available through the PM-Kisan website and mobile app using Aadhaar-linked mobile verification.

2. Biometric e-KYC

Can be completed at CSC centers and other authorized service centers.

3. Face Authentication e-KYC

Available through the PM-Kisan mobile application using face authentication technology.

How Farmers Can Check Payment Status

Farmers can also verify whether their installment is likely to be credited by checking their beneficiary status online.
