In recent months, streets across India have filled with an exceptional wave of young voices. From nationwide protests surrounding exam paper leaks to deep-seated frustrations with competitive testing systems, students are demanding accountability, fairness, and justice. Their anger is justified. Their courage to stand up against systemic failure shows a generation that refuses to remain silent.

Yet, behind the headlines and protest signs lies a heartbreaking reality. The huge pressure to pass these high-stakes exams is made worse by flaws and uncertainty in the system. This unbearable stress has pushed countless young minds into severe anxiety and depression. Tragically, some have even taken extreme steps, believing their future was permanently shattered.

As a society, we must pause and ask ourselves a fundamental question, when did we start allowing a single exam to carry the weight of a child’s entire life?
