Ranganathan Madhavan, affectionately known as Maddy, is a celebrated Indian actor, director, screenwriter, and producer, recognized for his significant contributions to both Tamil and Hindi films. His widespread appeal across India has been acknowledged by the Government of India, which awarded him the esteemed Padma Shri at Rashtrapati Bhavan on June 23. "It was an incredible experience! It felt like my life had come full circle. Receiving such a prestigious award from the President, with the Prime Minister present, was a moment where time seemed to stand still. There’s no recognition that can compare to a National Padma award."

"Absolutely. However, what truly matters is having a realistic understanding of one’s capabilities. To remain grounded, it’s essential to have a family that provides honest feedback rather than just flattery. I’ve seen many actors struggle without a strong support system."
