Rattlesnake strikes 3-year-old girl in Santa Clarita after hiding under delivery package

Newspoint
A routine package pickup turned into a hospital emergency for one Southern California family after a rattlesnake concealed beneath a delivery envelope struck a 3-year-old girl on the hand, according to a report by Fox59.

Addy Barajas was told by her mother that a package had arrived and been left near the family's front gate in Santa Clarita. So she ran outside to grab it, the way any excited kid would. What she didn't see was the Southern Pacific rattlesnake resting underneath the padded envelope. The moment she reached down, it struck.
