Tencent fires WeChat employee immediately after he allegedly leaks ₹4.5 crore salary slip

But that one image was enough to trigger a storm online, and eventually cost a senior Tencent employee his job.


The employee, identified only by his surname Ye, worked as a project manager in Tencent's Weixin Group, the team behind WeChat. His name wasn't widely known outside the company, but that changed almost overnight after details of his reported annual pay package began circulating on Chinese social media.
