If you have been unable to check your PF balance over the last few days, do not panic. This is not due to a technical glitch or a system hang; rather, it is part of a planned initiative.

EPFO is undertaking software upgrades and database migration to modernize its claim processing system. This upgrade process began on June 26. The primary objective is to expedite future PF claim processing, enhance security, and provide customers with a superior digital experience.

Which services will remain completely unavailable?

During this maintenance and shutdown period, users will be unable to access either the 'Member Interface' or the 'Employer Interface.' The following services will be affected:

Submission of new online PF claims
Downloading PF passbooks
All online facilities linked to the UAN

What will happen to existing claims?

EPFO has clarified that no new claims can be filed during the shutdown. Furthermore, the processing of claims submitted before June 26 will only resume after services are restored on July 2.
