Devotees observe fast for nine consecutive days. Navratri falls four times in a year - Magha Gupt Navratri , Ashadha Gupt Navratri, Shardiya Navratri and Chaitra Navratri. During these days, devotees offer their sincere prayers to Goddess Durga by performing various religious and spiritual activities. According to Panchang, Ashadha Gupt Navratri is going to begin from July 15, 2026.

Navratri holds a great importance in Hindu religion. Navratri is the period of nine long days when devotees worship Goddess Durga. They offer their sincere prayers to Goddess Durga with devotion and purity. They perform various religious and spiritual activities to appease Maa Durga and worship each form of Maa Durga on each day of Navratri. Navratri falls four times a year during Magha, Chaitra, Ashadha and Kartik month. Gupt Navratri is the most powerful time of year for those who wish to perform Mantra and Tantra Sadhana. It is also thought to be a particularly effective time to summon Goddess Durga. To appease the Goddess, they carry out a variety of puja rites, including hawan, fasting, and abstaining from food and drink for nine long days.

Ashadha Gupt Navratri 2026: Puja Rituals
1. Wake up early in the morning and clean your house first.
2. After a holy bath, take a wooden plank and place an idol of Goddess Durga.
3. Light a diya with desi ghee and adorn Maa Durga's idol with 16 shringar items such as red stole, mehendi, bangles, vermillion, mangal sutra, bindi etc.
4. Perform Ghatsthapana by placing an earthen pot or kalash and coconut on the top of that kalash.
