Rama Ekadashi is one of the most auspicious day in Hindu religion. Though Ekadashi holds a great religious and spiritual significance as it falls twice a month and accordingly there are 24 Ekadashi observances in a year. Rama Ekadashi is considered more special as it falls in the month of Kartik and this month is totally dedicated to honor Lord Vishnu. Rama Ekadashi is going to be observed on Ekadashi Tithi of Krishna Paksha in the month of Kartik month i.e., October 17, 2025.

Rama Ekadashi 2025 : Significance
Rama Ekadashi holds a great religious significance in Hindu religion. The holds a great religious and spiritual significance because it falls during the month of Kartik. This month is considered an auspicious month which is dedicated to honor Lord Vishnu and Lord Krishna and that's why it is known as Damodar month. It is believed that devotees who observe fast on this special day, get rid of all the sins they have committed in the past knowingly or unknowingly. Rambha Ekadashi and Kartik Krishna Ekadashi are other names for Rama Ekadashi.
Rama Ekadashi happens in the month of Puatassi in the Tami Calendar, whereas it falls in Ashwina or Ashwayuja Month in Karnataka, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Andhra Pradesh. With great devotion and sincerity, devotees offer prayers to Lord Vishnu and maintain fasts. It is believed that those who observe this Ekadashi with utmost devotion and purity get relieved from all types of sins, sufferings and miseries. People, who are suffering from Brahma Hatya, or the sin of killing a Brahmin, are believed to be able to overcome the sin and get salvation. One Rama Ekadashi fast is equivalent to the thousands of Ashwamedha Yagya.
Rama Ekadashi 2025: Puja Rituals
1. Take a holy bath as soon as you wake up.
2. Clean the house and the puja room
3. Use panchamrit to offer a sacred wash to an idol of Lord Vishnu.
4. Set up an altar on a wooden board where you should place an idol of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Laxmi, light a diya with desi ghee, and offer panchamrit, tulsi patra, flowers, and home made sweets.
5. Chant Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaye all day long or Hare Krishna maha mantra.
6. In the evening, recite Vishnu Sahasranaam and Shri Hari Stotram and adore Lord Vishnu once again by lighting a diya and recite aarti.
7. After that you can eat fruits, dry fruits and other dairy products.
8. Though this fast is broken on Dwadashi Tithi during parana time but those who are unable to bear hunger can eat sattvik fast recommended food such as kuttu ki poori and sabzi, sama rice khichdi.
