JJ Redick’s reaction to Los Angeles Lakers’ preseason loss exposes deeper concerns ahead of NBA season
Los Angeles Lakers coach JJ Redick is a man of few words. The former NBA star did not hold back his emotions while addressing the failure of the Lakers against the Phoenix Suns. Following the 113-104 loss against the Suns during the ongoing preseason, JJ Redick slammed the Lakers during the postgame press conference. He said,

"It's very simple, actually: I'm trying to form consistent habits. So you're trying to do that; that means everybody. That doesn't mean three guys. You need everybody doing that. I thought there were some really good things tonight on both ends of the floor... But if you want to have a good time, you have to do it every single time. You have to do the right thing every single time.”

The former Clippers star further pointed out the inconsistent performance of the Lakers. Redick mentioned,

"That's where I don't think any of the groups tonight were as consistent as they need to be. To me, we took a step forward with some of the defensive stuff from the other night against Golden State. We took a step backwards tonight. That's a little bit frustrating."

This is not the first time JJ Redick has openly spoken about the Los Angeles Lakers’ performance. Despite being a man of few words, Redick has never shied away from talking about athletes’ performance ever since he was appointed as the head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers.
