From Taekwondo to two-time CWG medallist: Bindyarani Devi's inspiring journey

Coach A. Ranjan Singh couldn’t have been happier after his long-time student Bindyarani Devi clinched her second consecutive Commonwealth Games medal in Glasgow on Monday night. After winning silver in the women’s 55kg category at Birmingham Commonwealth Games in 2022, Bindyarani claimed bronze in the new 58kg division in Glasgow.

Speaking about his former pupil, the veteran coach looked back to the day Bindyarani first walked into the weightlifting hall after beginning her sporting journey in taekwondo.
