Tajinderpal Singh Toor is one of India's most accomplished shot putters and a dominant force in Asian athletics. Born on November 13, 1994, in Khosa Pando village in Punjab's Moga district, Toor switched from cricket to shot put after being encouraged by his father and uncle, who recognised his natural strength.
Trained by Mohinder Singh Dhillon, he has developed into one of Asia's finest throwers and has represented India at the highest level, including the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Toor has enjoyed sustained success on the continental stage, winning multiple gold medals at the Asian Games, Asian Athletics Championships and Asian Indoor Championships. In 2023, he set a new Asian and national outdoor record with a throw of 21.77m at the National Inter-State Senior Athletics Championships in Bhubaneswar, further cementing his place among the continent's greatest shot put athletes.
