India's Hockey team to train in Switzerland before World Cup and Asian Games

The Indian men's hockey team is turning to an unconventional but proven method in its quest for World Cup glory. As part of their preparations for the FIH Hockey World Cup 2026 , the squad will undergo a three-day high-intensity team-building and mental conditioning camp in the Swiss Alps, designed to strengthen resilience, leadership and unity before the tournament. The initiative has been organised by renowned mental conditioning coach Paddy Upton in consultation with chief coach Craig Fulton . During the camp, players will stay in tents at the base camp of celebrated explorer Mike Horn, pushing themselves outside their comfort zones through physically and mentally demanding activities.
