Manika Batra
Manika Batra enjoyed a breakthrough Commonwealth Games campaign in 2018, becoming India's most successful female table tennis player at a single CWG by winning four medals -2 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze. She made history as the first Indian woman to win the Commonwealth Games women's singles gold and spearheaded India's women to their first-ever team gold, ending Singapore's unbeaten run since table tennis was introduced at the Games in 2002.
Batra also claimed silver in women's doubles and bronze in mixed doubles, finishing on the podium in every event she entered. Her achievements earned her the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award in 2020.
