PV Sindhu produced one of her best performances of the season to defeat world No. 5 Han Yue 21-16, 21-14 and storm into the women’s singles quarterfinals of the Japan Open Super 750.
The two-time Olympic medallist dominated the Chinese shuttler in just 35 minutes, extending her head-to-head record to an impressive 8-1.
Sindhu is now India’s lone remaining hope in the tournament after the early exits of the other Indian shuttlers.
