Sooryavanshi feud forced Sri Lanka A bowler to block Instagram account after fans hurl hate on him
The fourth ODI match between India A and Sri Lanka A ended with controversy, including the time when Vaibhab Sooryavanshi pushed a Sri Lankan player after he allegedly made comments to the teen. The player named Vishen Halambage has reportedly blocked his Instagram account after receiving hate comments mostly from Indian fans.
Initially, the 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi received enough moral policing, but as soon as the situation started getting clearer, Halambage became the target.
As per many reports, Halambage's account received many reports and complaints. And this account has either been restricted or blocked. However, neither the player nor Instagram issued any official response.
What happened in the India A vs Sri Lanka A match?
Sri Lanka A hosted India A for the fourth match in Dambulla, a venue without light. Since the beginning, India has been engaging in multiple fights with the umpire, with captain Tilak Varma being on the front line.
India was earlier penalized 10 runs for running into the pitch's protected area. And those runs proved vital. Well, the umpiring was indeed not up to the mark. And it led to Tilak's frustration.

Initially, a leg bye was conceded in the final ball of the main match when SL-A needed just 1 run to win. While Tilak argued that the batters didn't offer the shot, the umpire denied it.
He then forced a super over despite the light going down. After around 10 minutes, players came back and got ready for one. The final ball of Sri Lanka's over had another controversy when the umpires called back the bowler, Arshad Khan, to bowl again, calling a no-ball. India failed to chase 17 runs in the Super over and eventually lost it.
And there happened the real drama. The assigned SL A bowler celebrated aggressively. But Sooryavanshi did not respond. Later, amid the celebrations, Halambage clapped on his face and reportedly said something like, "Match over, now you go home."
Sooryavanshi, who was earlier seen pushing Tilak away during a fight with the umpires, got himself engaged in a nasty encounter with the player. Even Suryansh Shedge, Sooryavanshi's partner, is visibly unhappy with the Halambage's behavior.
Will players be punished?
Normally, the ICC doesn't allot any match referees in A-team matches. While it questions the sportsman spirit of the game, it is unlikely to bring any disciplinary issues for players from both sides.
Meanwhile, a Cricbuzz report said that there were discussions in the Sri Lanka A dressing room to go and apologize to the Indian side even though they still don't support the Super Over happening in the first place.
