London: The BCCI senior selection committee has reportedly taken a definitive call regarding Rohit Sharma's future, with reports suggesting that Sunday's (July 19) Lord's ODI against England could mark his final appearance for India.

Chief selector Ajit Agarkar and his colleagues are of the opinion that the time has come to transition away from the veteran opener and provide an extended run to the young Yashasvi Jaiswal, keeping the roadmap for the 2027 ODI World Cup in mind.

Although Rohit has put significant effort into his physical fitness since announcing his retirement from Test cricket, the selectors are reportedly dissatisfied with his recent dip in performance.
