Three medals in a day! Raja Muthupandi's silver joins India's Commonwealth Games weightlifting medal spree
Raja Muthupandi won the silver medal in the men's 65kg weightlifting event at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow , adding another podium finish to India's strong start in the sport.
The 26-year-old lifted 126kg in the snatch and 160kg in the clean and jerk for a combined total of 286kg to finish second. Malaysia's Muhamad Aznil Bin Bidin claimed gold with a Commonwealth Games record total of 299kg, while Papua New Guinea's Morea Baru secured bronze with 282kg.
