Watch: Sarfaraz Khan’s Father Naushad’s Incredible 38-kg Weight Loss Journey
Naushad Khan , the father of Indian cricketer Sarfaraz Khan , has left fans amazed with his incredible fitness journey . Known as the driving force behind the cricketing rise of his sons, Sarfaraz and Musheer, Naushad has undergone a jaw-dropping transformation, shedding an astonishing 38 kilograms. His inspiring journey began earlier this year when he decided to join Sarfaraz in adopting a healthier lifestyle.
Sarfaraz, who narrowly missed out on selection for the senior Indian team, had already embarked on his own fitness mission. Determined to make a comeback, he lost nearly 10 kilos in just six weeks while preparing for the India A tour of England. Inspired by his son’s dedication, Naushad too embraced a strict routine, showing that discipline and commitment can work wonders at any age.
A recent clip shared on social media captured Naushad’s remarkable transformation, earning him praise from cricket fans and fitness enthusiasts alike. His leaner, more energetic appearance has become a testament to the power of perseverance and lifestyle change.
Earlier this year, Naushad opened up about their revamped diet and how both father and son decided to leave behind old eating habits for a more balanced and nutritious approach. “We have controlled our diet a lot. We have stopped eating roti, rice, etc. We have not eaten roti or rice at home for 1 to 1.5 months. We eat broccoli, carrots, cucumber, salad and green vegetable salad," Naushad had said.
“Along with that, we eat grilled fish, grilled chicken, boiled chicken, boiled egg, etc. We are also having green tea and green coffee. We also eat avocados. There are sprouts also," he added.
Naushad’s journey mirrors the same determination he instilled in his sons throughout their cricketing careers. Both Sarfaraz and Musheer have long credited their father for their success, and this transformation adds another chapter to his inspiring story.
Meanwhile, Sarfaraz is preparing for the upcoming Ranji Trophy season, where he will represent Mumbai in their opener against Jammu and Kashmir on October 15. Despite missing the Duleep Trophy earlier due to a quadriceps injury sustained during the Buchi Babu tournament, the middle-order batter remains focused on his fitness and form.
Mumbai’s squad for the opening fixture includes: Shardul Thakur (captain), Ayush Mhatre, Aakash Anand (wk), Ajinkya Rahane, Siddhesh Lad, Sarfaraz Khan, Shivam Dube, Shams Mulani, Tanush Kotian, Tushar Deshpande, Sylvester D’Souza, Hardik Tamore (wk), Irfan Umair, Musheer Khan, Akhil Herwadkar, and Royston Dias.
With his father leading by example, Sarfaraz’s comeback story now carries an added layer of inspiration one that extends beyond cricket and into the realm of personal transformation.
