World Record Alert: 23-Year-Old Connor Carroll Smashes All-Time T20I Record in First Three Innings of His Career
Connor Carroll has made quite a splash on the cricketing stage, after creating a T20I world record for Croatia national cricket team during the ongoing Men's T20 World Cup Regional Europe Qualifier A.
A perfect international debut has witnessed the 23-year-old scorer the record-breaking 295 runs in the opening three innings of his T20I career. It is the most runs in the opening three innings of a T20I innings.
Gustav McKeon of France national cricket team held the previous world record, with 286 runs from his opening three matches.
Connor Carroll Starts Career in Stunning Fashion
France made his debut for international cricket against, scoring a brisk 71 off just 34 deliveries. Croatia failed in their chase of 209. Besides Carroll, most of the Croatian batters failed to reach double figures. In fact, the second-highest score for Croatia was only 12 runs.
The left-hander bettered his record with an incredible knock against Switzerland. Carroll carved up the opposition with an outstanding 150 off only 72 balls with the help of 13 boundaries and 10 maximums. Croatia amassed 199-2, the remaining five batters failed to score more than 41 runs combined.
Switzerland succumbed by 16 runs in the end, while Carroll claimed his maiden wicket of international cricket to add to a fine all-round performance.

The 3rd T20I match for Carroll was against Jersey national cricket team. It was not a day for Croatian bowlers as the opposition scored a massive 280-3.
While the ball did not do well for Carroll (conceded 63 runs in 4 overs), he scored heavily with the bat for the 3rd game in a row. The opener scored 74 runs in 31 deliveries (3x4s and 9x6s) finishing Croatia’s top scorer. Croatia were bundled out for 171 ultimately.
At an average of 147.50, Carroll now has 295 runs from 3 games at a strike rate of 215.32. However, this development is not out of the blue, as he has been playing regularly Australian grade cricket for the last two years and has already played for South Australia Second XI earlier this year.
