Anthropic CEO does not want to be part of the 'million dollar-salary race' that Mark Zuckerberg started

Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei does not want to be part of the intense pay race for top AI, as companies including Meta, OpenAI , Google and Anthropic compete for a small pool of AI talent. According to an Axios report, a source familiar with the matter said that the Anthropic CEO has expressed concern about new researchers joining Anthropic mainly for money rather than its mission. Dario’s position comes amid Meta’s AI hiring spree, spending heavily to recruit leading AI researchers for its superintelligence labs. The company hired its AI chief Alexandr Wang as part of a $15 billion deal last year.
