Bank of Baroda confirms data breach: employee email account hacked, bank says core banking systems untouched

Bank of Baroda has confirmed a security incident at the lender, saying a compromised employee email account gave attackers unauthorised access to "certain data". The bank put out a statement on Monday, July 27, after weekend posts on social media claimed a large cache of its records had surfaced on the dark web.
