Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman , the Republican challenger to New York Gov. Kathy Hochul has accused the governor and New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani of pushing tax policies that could force families to sell homes, farms, or small businesses to cover inheritance-related bills. In a post shared on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), Blakeman said: “Family farms, small businesses, and family homes shouldn’t have to be sold just to pay another tax.”
