ChatGPT is down for thousands globally: Here's what issues users are facing
ChatGPT is facing downtime for thousands of users globally. According to Downdetector, several users from around the world have been unable to access the chatbot in India, the US and other markets for some time now.
The website tracking platform shows 1,475 reports in India, with 79% related to the web version of ChatGPT, 8% to the app and 7% to the API. In India, most reports came from Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Jaipur, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Pune, Bengaluru and Ahmedabad. In the US, reports came from San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York. In the UK, reports came from London and Southampton.
In the US, there were 3,243 reports at the time of writing, with 80% citing the web version, 8% the app and 8% Codex. Meanwhile, in the UK, there were 3,088 reports, with 80% citing ChatGPT, 9% the app and 8% Codex.
