Google Maps is now rolling out its Immersive Navigation feature to a larger user base, marking one of the app’s most significant updates in recent years. The new experience delivers more detailed maps, clearer directions, and enhanced visuals to make driving guidance more intuitive. Initially limited to a small percentage of users, the feature is now appearing more broadly across both beta and stable versions of the app. On Android, users will also notice the Gemini AI icon replacing the traditional Assistant shortcut, signaling deeper integration of Google’s AI into navigation.
