Nintendo multiplayer sale includes 25% off on rarely-discounted Switch title
Nintendo have launched a major new sale on the eShop, with major discounts for titles on both the Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Most notably, a huge name first party game gets a handy new knock-down price in a rare move by Nintendo.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder on the Nintendo Switch is 25 per cent off on the eShop as part of the platform's new Multiplayer Sale, which ends on Sunday, June 21. Even the Nintendo Switch 2 version, which includes Meetup at Bellabel Park, gets 18 per cent off, bringing it down from nearly £70. It is one of many discounts, with Nintendo promising up to 80% off certain games in the sale.
The discount represents unmissable value for a game hailed as a "masterpiece" by critics upon release in October 2023, gaining a 'Universal Acclaim' badge of honour by Metacritic with an aggregate score of 92%.
It's an especially notable inclusion in the sale given Nintendo rarely drop the prices on their first party games via the eShop.
There are two other Mario-based games on sale, with the underrated remake of 2004's Mario vs Donkey Kong slashed by 30 per cent and Mario Strikers: Battle League Football a third off.
It's perfect timing for football fans loving the World Cup 2026, and there's more for sports fans - EA Sports FC 26 The World's Game edition is also included in the sale, with a 60 per cent discount on the usual price.
The World's Game edition also includes plenty of bonuses for gamers to get stuck into, including valuable Ultimate Team freebies and 3,000 Season Points to climb the game's season pass ladder.
Other notable titles with discounts in the Multiplayer Sale include Overcooked! 2 on the Switch 2, Kirby's Return to DreamLand Deluxe on the original Switch and price cuts on various Lego games.
